"Hi, my name is Kathy and I have been practicing yoga for almost 20 years. Coming from a gymnastics background I always enjoyed the physical challenge yoga provided, however it was the sense of peace that was produced every time I came to my mat that kept me curious for more. I completed a Hatha teacher training in 2006 and since then have continued to explore Iyengar, Ashtanga, Bikram, Vinyasa, Kundalini and Yin Yoga. Influenced by the different lineages my classes are dynamic with a strong focus on breath and alignment. Yoga to me is a moving meditation and a chance for deep self-enquiry. My favourite yogic principles are that of Abhyasa and Vairagya. Abhyasa translates to consistent practice, yet Vairagya means non–attachment to the results. This balance between effort and surrender keeps my practice real. Yoga has influenced my life in so many ways and sharing this practice is my passion. I have also completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a mat pilates course, so when I'm not teaching yoga you'll find me in the pilates or fitness space."
